In linguistics, the term numeral refers to a word or phrase that represents a number or quantity.   Numerals can be used as a part of speech in a sentence, just like nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. In English, there are two types of numerals: cardinal and ordinal.   Cardinal numerals represent a quantity or number, such as one, two, three, etc.   Ordinal numerals represent the order of things, such as
